UFC Fight Night 107 took a second hit on Saturday morning as the UFC announced that welterweight prospect Tom Breese was deemed “unfit to fight” at the eleventh hour, forcing his undercard bout against Oluwale Bamgbose to be scrapped just minutes before the event was slated to kick off inside the O2 Arena in London, England.
UFC play-by-play broadcaster John Gooden announced the news on the UFC Fight Pass pre-fight broadcast, stating only that Breese had “not been medically cleared to fight.”
UFC officials have not commented further as of this writing.
The unfortunate development arrived just hours after a bantamweight bout between Ian Entwistle and Brett Johns was similarly scrapped from UFC Fight Night 107 due to last-minute medical complications on Entwistle’s part.
