T.J. Dillashaw isn’t a fan of what’s going on in the bantamweight division, and he’s made no secret about that in the lead-up to UFC 207.
Dillashaw, the former UFC champion, will be the odd man out when Dominick Cruz and Cody Garbrandt vie for the UFC bantamweight title on Dec. 30 in the co-main event of the UFC’s year-end show. It’s a strong point of frustration for Dillashaw, as the title shot was assumed to be his until he was usurped by the red-hot Garbrandt. But Dillashaw also has an extensive history with both men — he narrowly lost his belt to Cruz in January and trained for years alongside Garbrandt at Team Alpha Male — so considering all of his knowledge about Cruz and Garbrandt’s contrasting styles, he has little doubt about how things will play out.
