Former UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw did score a split decision win over Cory Sandhagen is his return after two years away from the Octagon. However, the 35-year-old believes he could have done an even better job and finished the ‘Sandman’, had it not been for a knee injury he suffered in the fight.
On Bruce Buffer’s podcast ‘It’s Time’, Dillashaw mentioned how his back takes could have been more effective if his leg were healthy. Nonetheless, he is still satisfied with the way the fight developed, because he was able to showcase more of skills and state of mind in a 25-minute battle.
