Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz hopes to become the first mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter to hold 205-pound titles in both UFC and Bellator MMA, a feat Quinton Jackson seemed destined to accomplish before disgruntlement kicked in.
Perhaps that's why Ortiz (18-11-1) felt compelled to decline a rematch against Frank Shamrock.
"I get paid either way. My mind is right, my body is right ... why take the easy way out? I've done so much in the sport, I want to be champion again. They offered me Frank Shamrock.
