Tito Ortiz: I've had over 25 concussions, will retire after Bellator 170 to avoid brain damage

Now we know why.

Speaking to ESPN's Brett Okamoto, Ortiz revealed that a long history of concussions was causing the former UFC champion to call it quits after Saturday's fight.

"I've had over 25 concussions, over eight surgeries. Sparring is probably the hardest thing in training -- getting punched in the face, concussions.
