Titan FC signs prospect Hawes, veteran Cavalcante for Montreal debut

Upstart Titan FC has added a highly-regarded prospect and a fan-favorite veteran to its growing roster.

According to CEO Jeff Aronson, the promotion recently inked Philip Hawes (3-0) and JZ Cavalcante (19-8) to six-fight contracts. Both fighters are expected to make their respective debuts at Titan FC 34 on a yet-to-be determined date in June in Montreal.

Hawes, one of the rising stars coming out Team Jackson-Winkeljohn in New Mexico, is a former Junior College National Wrestling champion from Iowa Central Community College. A current training partner for the likes of Jon Jones and Tim Kennedy, the 26-year-old Hawes made his MMA debut in Feb.
