On Wednesday, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the independent third-party company the UFC hired in July to randomly drug test all of their athletes year-round, notified the UFC that Means “potentially” flunked a surprise, out-of-competition drug exam for his UFC Fight Night 83 featured fight against Cerrone.
“The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Tim Means of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection,” the UFC expressed in a statement. “USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case.
