Tim Kennedy will not receive a replacement opponent at UFC 205, but both he and Rashad Evans will be compensated for their proposed middleweight bout.
The UFC announced that Kennedy and Evans will receive their show money in a statement on Tuesday while also confirming that “there are currently no plans to replace this bout.”
Evans was denied a license to compete by the New York State Athletic Commission due to an undisclosed medical issue. UFC 205 takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday and is headlined by a lightweight championship clash between Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor.
