He was a force of nature in his prime, a terrifying physical specimen in which power, speed and a zeal for doing harm to others merged. Quinton Jackson will celebrate his 40th birthday on June 20.
“Rampage” made his professional mixed martial arts debut in November 1999 and has since compiled a 37-13 record in 50 bouts across various promotions, from King of the Cage and Pride Fighting Championships to the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Bellator MMA. Jackson reached his peak at UFC 71 on May 26, 2007, when he stopped Chuck Liddell with first-round punches and captured the undisputed light heavyweight title; it was his second win over Liddell.
