A month after being forced out of UFC Copenhagen with kidney stones, Thiago Alves already has a date set for his next bout.
The UFC announced on Friday that “Pitbull” will face Tim Means in a welterweight contest at UFC on ESPN 7 in Washington, DC, on Dec. 7.
Prior to his cancelled bout with Gunnar Nelson in September, Alves (23-14) suffered a decision loss to Argentina’s Laureano Staropoli at UFC 237 in Rio de Janeiro. Earlier this year, the former UFC title contender defeated Max Griffin in a close decision at UFC Fortaleza.
