A new 175-pound champion will be crowned in BKFC on May 21 when former UFC title contender Thiago Alves faces off with Uly Diaz with the event planned for the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Multiple sources close to the matchup confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.
For Alves this will be an opportunity to add another win to his already impressive resume while looking to win a championship with BKFC after signing with the bare-knuckle promotion following the end of his run with the UFC.
Alves made a successful BKFC debut with a split decision win over Julian Lane this past September after he was a high profile addition to the promotion.
