UFC Fight Night 103 went down on Sunday in Phoenix, as mixed martial arts legend B.J. Penn made his return from a two-year layoff to meet fast-rising Mexican prospect Yair Rodriguez in the main event at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. The two featherweights turned to their roots when it came to their walkout songs.
Penn strode to the Octagon to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s “Hawaii 78” and “E Ala E” -- a tribute to his native Hawaii. Meanwhile, Rodriguez saluted his Mexican heritage with Los Rielero del Norte’s “El Corrido de Chihuahua” ahead of the most significant opportunity of his career.
