The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to the Empire State on Saturday, but rather than taking over the famed Madison Square Garden, the world’s leading MMA promotion invaded the Barclays Center in Brooklyn instead. The various fighters on the marquee all walked out to combat to a litany of songs to get them pumped up and, as expected, songs about Brooklyn and/or artists from the five boroughs of New York were well represented.
Two fighters went with songs with “Brooklyn” in the title: Dennis Bermudez with “Brooklyn Go Hard” from hip-hop legend Jay-Z and Paige VanZant, who opted for Beastie Boys’ iconic “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.
