Following his unanimous decision loss, Covington had a pair of names on his lips for who he’d like to face next time he steps into the cage.
Those men? Former American Top Team training partners Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier.
“I think the most logical step is the heated rivalry with me and my old roommate, ‘Street Judas’ Masvidal,” Covington told reporters after the event, adding that he wanted to “hold these people accountable for the way they run their mouth in the media.
