UFC 234 is essentially a boxing PPV. A single title fight at the top to hook viewers in who are willing to pay to watch the champion compete (sadly for Robert Whittaker so far, that number has been low), and a showcase for rising talent Israel Adesanya (who the UFC expects people will pay to watch down the road) against an aging legend in Anderson Silva (who can still bring some notoriety to the table). That’s it. Everything else is just absolute filler. Even fights that would be decent on better booked cards look barely passable on this one.
