Looking back on his 2014, Northwest featherweight Lee “American Bulldog” Morrison admits he had a bad year. Back-to-back losses to Marat Gafurov and Tural Regimov in M-1 Global stopped the momentum Morrison had built after eight straight wins.
“It’s hard to go through training camp and feel 100-percent. There’s always something, so I don’t feel I trained properly for Marat,” said Morrison. “That being said, he’s the toughest opponent I’ve ever fought. I made some mistakes in the fight and it cost me.
“I felt the fight with Tural was going pretty well, and actually had a pretty decent training camp for that, but I got overzealous and left an opening and he took advantage of it.
