Major boxing main events tend not to get scrapped due to injury as often as you’d see in the UFC or Bellator MMA, but they happen nevertheless, and unfortunately Terence Crawford’s 2018 debut needs to be pushed back.
According to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, the former undisputed junior welterweight champion suffered a right hand injury during training for his April 14th bout against WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn, and as a result, the matchup will be postponed, but it’s not too long of a delay.
“There’s no ligament tear, nothing, he took the MRI and so forth,” Arum said to Ring Magazine.
