The UFC has released five fighters from its roster, including four Brazilians.
Takanori Gomi, Hacran Dias, Henrique da Silva, Adriano Martins and Carlos Felipe were no longer with the company, multiple sources told MMA Fighting following a report by Combate.
Gomi (35-14, 1 no-contest) lost his last five UFC bouts by first-round stoppage, and hasn’t won a bout since April 2014. The Japanese star and former PRIDE champion only won four of 13 fights since joining the UFC in 2010.
Dias (23-6-1) signed with the UFC in 2012 after winning 20 of 22 MMA fights, but racked up a 3-5 record inside the Octagon.
