A one-year suspension hasn’t detracted Jon Jones from pursuing some of his greatest ambitions in the Octagon.
The 29-year-old was suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) after failing an out-of-competition drug test prior to UFC 200. ‘Bones’ tested positive for an aromatase inhibitor and an estrogen blocker, and was immediately removed from his scheduled championship bout with Daniel Cormier in the main event.
Jones was also stripped of the interim light heavyweight title and removed from the UFC rankings. Prior to that, the Rochester-born talent was stripped of the official LHW belt after his involvement in a hit-and-run incident last year.
