State: Jon Jones given three days community service for failure to report traffic stop

Jon Jones will get little more than a proverbial slap on the wrist for his latest run-in with the law.

On Monday, it was reported that Jones was cited for three traffic violations while on probation. The New Mexico Corrections Department will not levy a penalty toward Jones for those, according to public affairs coordinator Ashley Espinoza. However, Espinoza said Jones will receive three days of community service for "failing to report police contact and tickets."

Jones, the former UFC light heavyweight champion, will be in traffic court Wednesday for the three violations: driving without a license, driving without proof of insurance and driving without registration.
