Chael Sonnen was behind the desk over at ESPN to talk about the stoppage of Cris Cyborg's fight with Leslie Smith, and he wasn't happy.
It's no secret, fighters don't like to see fights get stopped early. In fact, if you've heard more than a few of them talk about it, most would much rather see a fight get stopped too late rather than have the ref jump the gun. Under that lens, maybe it's not so surprising that former UFC title contender and current ESPN talking head Chael Sonnen had some less than charitable thoughts for the referee who stepped in (by most accounts) too early in Cris Cyborg's TKO win over Leslie Smith last weekend at UFC 198.
