Simon Marcus: ‘Real champions use losses to make themselves stronger’

This Friday, two bitter rivals are set to collide for the World Middleweight Championship in the main event of GLORY 21 SAN DIEGO as Artem ‘The Lion’ Levin (50-4-1, 33 KO’s) defends his belt against Simon ‘Bad Bwoy’ Marcus (42-2-1, 24 KO’s). The two fought in 2013 under Muay Thai rules, with Marcus taking the win by decision. But that fight relied heavily on his clinching and under GLORY rules the clinch is massively restricted. Undefeated in Muay Thai, Marcus found last year’s switch to kickboxing difficult, with two losses by stoppage in his first three fights. But he bounced back in fine style by winning the GLORY 20 DUBAI middleweight tournament to earn this Friday’s title shot.
