Silva blames failed drug test on sexual performance supplement

Anderson Silva is really stretching the limits when it comes to his defense for his positive drug tests before and after his fight at UFC 183 in January.

Silva tested positive for Drostanolone and Androstane — both anabolic steroids — a few weeks before his fight with Nick Diaz. He also tested positive for Drostanolone in his post-fight urine test.

Silva plans to appear in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission Thursday to address the failed tests, and his legal team has formulated a defense. The defense blames the Drostanolone positive tests on a sexual performance supplement.
