Thirty men and women have captured Bellator MMA championships since the promotion made its debut in 2009.
Some title reigns were brief. Daniel Straus lasted just 133 days during his first stay on the featherweight throne, as he struck gold at 145 pounds with a five-round unanimous decision over Pat Curran at Bellator 106 on Nov. 2, 2013. Curran returned the favor a little more than four months later and did so in more decisive fashion in the Bellator 112 main event, where he submitted Straus with a rear-naked choke 4:46 into the fifth round.
