Undefeated Russian prospect Batradz Gazzaev will officially join the One Championship heavyweight division when he takes on Oumar Kane as part of the ONE 161 undercard on Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Gazzaev, 30, enters the confrontation with a perfect 3-0 record, with all three of his victories having resulted in finishes inside two rounds. He prefers to finish opponents with heavy punches.
Gazzaev carries a respected résumé in freestyle wrestling, a discipline that forms the Russian’s base. He was a gold medalist at the 2013 European Nations Cup and trained under Artur Bazaev before joining Sergei Bolshakov’s stable, eventually earning the prestigious Master of Sport designation.
