On Saturday, Mickaela Mayer and Sandy Ryan will face off against each other in the ring.
Mayer will be defending her WBO welterweight title, having beaten Ryan in the previous fight to claim the belt.
It was a close decision, Mayer did enough just to persuade the judges.
The build-up did produce lots of controversy after Ryan was hit with paint as she left her hotel room on her way to the fight venue. Ryan suggested that someone from Mayer’s camp may have been responsible.
Mayer refuted the claim, seeing as she’s aware that another win will set up an Undisputed Welterweight clash against Lauren Price.
