Shayna Baszler, the popular women's bantamweight fighter, was released by the organization this week, MMAFighting.com confirmed with UFC officials Tuesday. Talented flyweights Tim Elliott and Louis Gaudinot were also let go amid a flurry of cuts.
UFC Fighters Info first reported the news Monday on Twitter.
Baszler (15-10), a pioneer of women's MMA, went 0-2 in the UFC with a pair of TKO losses to Amanda Nunes and Bethe Correia. The latest loss, to Nunes, came in March in the first round.
