The Bronx, N.Y., native and featherweight is slated to face Makwan Amirkhani, also known as “Mr. Finland,” at UFC 244. The pay-per-view event takes place Nov. 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The news was first reported by Newsday.com and confirmed by a promotion official. Burgos also retweeted reports of the booking.
Burgos (12-1) currently enjoys a two-fight winning streak capped by a split-call win over Cub Swanson in May at UFC Ottawa. Prior to that, he picked up a first-round armbar win over Kurt Holobaugh at UFC 230.
