Sergio Pettis moving from UFC to Bellator after agreeing to new multi-fight deal

The flyweight and bantamweight contender just recently completed his contract with the UFC and opted to test the free agency market.

Multiple sources confirmed to MMA Fighting on Thursday that Pettis has reached an agreement on a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA, although contracts still have to be signed. ESPN first reported the move.

The 26-year-old younger brother of former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis has carved out his own niche in the sport while competing at both 125 pounds and 135 pounds in the UFC.

Pettis holds wins over fighters such as Joseph Benavidez, Brandon Moreno and John Moraga during his career.
