A heavyweight bout originally set to go down at the UFC’s final pay-per-view event of 2020 has a new date in early 2021.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that the matchup between Sergey Spivak and Jared Vanderaa will now take place at the UFC’s event on Feb. 20. A location or venue has yet to be announced.
The fight was set to take place at UFC 256 but was removed just days before the PPV event due to Vanderaa testing positive for COVID-19.
Spivak has flip-flopped wins and losses since signing with the UFC in May 2019.
