A bantamweight fight between Sean O’Malley and Andre Soukhamthath has been booked for UFC 222. MMAjunkie reported the matchup on Wednesday. The night’s main card airs live on pay-per-view.
O’Malley (9-0) was signed by the UFC after his impressive KO of Alfred Khashakyan on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. The 24-year-old won a unanimous decision over Terrion Ware on The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale earlier this month. Seven of his nine victories have come by stoppage.
Soukhamthath (12-5) rebounded from losing split decisions in his first two UFC fights, knocking out Luke Sanders on short notice at UFC Fresno just three weeks ago.
