Forget the upcoming UFC bantamweight title bout between Petr Yan and Jose Aldo, Sean O’Malley wants Aldo, Yan, and the rest of the division to know that he is the true king of the 135ers.
That’s right, O’Malley (12-0 MMA 4-0 UFC), has declared himself bantamweight champion after making a slight adjustment to the UFC bantamweight rankings...
“Humbled,” O’Malley posted on Instagram earlier this week, where he ranked himself ahead of top UFC bantamweight contenders Marlon Moraes, Aljamain Sterling, and Petr Yan.
In reality, however, O’Malley is actually ranked #15. ‘Sugar’ broke into the top-fifteen following his highlight reel knockout of seasoned veteran Eddie Wineland at UFC 250.
