A long time ago, I outlined my plan to analyze ground striking in MMA. I wanted to create an online encyclopedia of ground and pound technique. You see, ground striking is perhaps the single most unique aspect of mixed martial arts, and yet there is very little to be found on this subject in the way of technical analysis and instruction. I have even spoken to fighters who don’t seem to put much stock in the idea that ground striking is essentially complex.
