Despite holding the Strikeforce bantamweight title, as well as notching wins over Miesha Tate and Alexis Davis, among others, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) decided it's seen enough of Sarah Kaufman for the time being and did not renew her expired fight contract.
No hard feelings.
Kaufman (17-4, 1 NC) is coming off back-to-back losses, most recently dropping a split decision to 135-pound wunderkind Valentina Shevchenko in a "disgusting" performance that signaled her last for the world's preeminent mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion.
For now.
