The UFC bantamweight stalwart was supposed to fight Germaine de Randamie at UFC on FOX 17 on Dec. 19 in Orlando. But de Randamie got injured and had to pull out earlier this month. Now, Kaufman will get the debuting Valentina Shevchenko, the UFC announced Friday.
Kaufman (17-3) has been one of the best 135-pound women in the world for years. The former Strikeforce champion is 1-1-1 since coming over to the UFC. In her last fight, the Canadian fell by second-round submission to Alexis Davis. Previously, she had a win over Leslie Smith and no contest with Jessica Eye (after losing a split decision).
