The always smiley Sam Alvey will make his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon early next year, as the middleweight knockout artist is expected to take on veteran Nate Marquardt at UFC on FOX 23 on Jan. 28 from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo., per FloCombat.
Alvey, 30, has fought four times in 2016, securing a 3-1 record with two memorable finishes. After winning a unanimous decision over Alex Nicholson back at UFC Fight Night 98, Alvey extended his current win streak to three. He's one of the more game brawlers in the middleweight division today and a guy who can use a victory over Marquardt to catapult himself into the top 15.
