Warlley Alves flew from Rio de Janeiro to Gdansk without an opponent, but the UFC found a replacement for Saturday’s event.
The TUF Brazil 3 winner, who was originally scheduled to take on Jim Wallhead in a welterweight bout, will welcome Salim Touahri to the Octagon at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland, on Oct. 21. MMA Fighting confirmed the news following a report by Combate.
Touahri (10-1) makes his UFC debut riding a five-fight winning streak with four knockouts. ”Grizzly” competed in his native Poland in 10 of his 11 MMA bouts, going the distance only twice in his professional career.
