Sage Northcutt announces lightweight return following submission loss at UFC on FOX 22

If at first you don’t succeed, stop lifting so many damn weights and try again.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight adonis Sage Northcutt is abandoning his post at 170 pounds in favor of smaller competition, thanks to a submission loss to Mickey Gall last Saturday night (Dec. 17, 2016) at UFC on FOX 22.

“Sorry everybody I didn't perform as I would have liked,” Northcutt wrote on Instagram. “I'll be going back down to my real weight class 155lbs! Thanks for all of the support and to all the people that came out to watch.
