The Sacramento Police Department is investigating whether Nate Diaz committed assault during an altercation with fellow UFC fighter Clay Guida this past Friday, according to multiple reports.
The incident occurred at Combate Americas’ “Mexico vs. USA” event at the McClellan Conference Center in McClellan Park, Calif., as a near brawl allegedly occurred with Diaz and Guida as the main primary figures.
Guida’s manager, John Fosco, confirmed to MMAjunkie.com that the UFC veteran filed a police report following the incident. The melee allegedly started when Diaz shoved Guida from behind, sending “The Carpenter” into a guardrail and bloodying his lip.
