Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Rousimar Palhares, who ran out of places to compete in the United States, returned to mixed martial arts (MMA) action last weekend (Sat., May 21, 2016) for Italy's Venator FC in Milan.
Palhares was stopped just 45 seconds into the opening round, but "Toquinho" is not ready to accept his loss to Emil Weber Meek and move on. That's because the Brazilian was clobbered with "illegal elbows" to the back of his head, according to his recent conversation with MMA Fighting.
His words:
"What went wrong in the fight is that I was hit with illegal elbows in the back of the head and couldn't see anything next.
