Rousimar Palhares, Jake Shields both suspended by NSAC for WSOF 22 misconduct

The fallout from the main event of World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 22: "Palhares vs. Shields" back on Aug. 1 continues.

Rousimar Palhares was already feeling the heat over his consistent eye gouging in the second round of his main event title fight against Jake Shields (replay), as well as his refusal to let go of a submission hold in the third frame after his opponent repeatedly tapped.

The in-house review from WSOF led to Palhares being suspended by the promotion and stripped of his welterweight title, but the hammer continues to fall.
