Roufus plans to emulate Diaz, be a ‘crazy coach’ for Pettis: ‘I’m going to be a homie for a while’

After almost a three-year absence, Nate Diaz will be returning to action against former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. The two men are scheduled to face each other in a welterweight fight at UFC 241 in Anaheim on August 17th.

During an interview on Monday’s episode of The MMA Hour, Pettis’ head coach Duke Roufus spoke about how the conversation went between them and the Diaz camp, which he says they deliberately kept under wraps.

“I gotta tell you, the neat thing about this fight is we kept it real hush-hush,” Roufus said (via MMA Fighting).
