Ronda Rousey had many firsts as an MMA fighter, and she’s continuing that trend as a pro wrestler. With just one year under her belt in a WWE ring, the promotion has announced that Rousey, along with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, will compete in the headlining bout at WrestleMania 35 on April 7th.
This is the first time that a women’s match has served as the main event of the WWE’s biggest show of the year, which goes down this year in MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Rousey also competed in the first women’s match in the UFC (as the headliner) and went to garner great fame as she stormed through the 135-pound weight class.
