Ronda Rousey inks movie deal with Lifetime network

Ronda Rousey has joined singer Janet Jackson and tennis superstar Serena Williams in signing deals with the Lifetime network. The former UFC women's bantamweight champion has inked a three-movie deal with the American channel, according to Deadline.com.

The article states that Rousey's movie deal will "bring stories that reflect her passions about empowerment to the screen".

The 29-year-old Olympic medalist in Judo and UFC star has seen her popularity explode over the last couple of years, which has led to roles in movies like The Expendables 3, Furious 7, and Entourage. She is also set to star in a remake of Road House which will be out later this year.
