Ronda Rousey debuts on Fortune’s '40 Under 40' list for 2015

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey may not be getting any love from the gang at Forbes, based on this recent list, but she's still in the good graces of Fortune.

In fact, the American business magazine -- published under the Time Inc. umbrella -- named "Rowdy" to its recent list of "40 under 40" for 2015, "a measure of power and influence" in the media and business world, as well as pop culture.

Here's why:

2015 has been the Year of Ronda. The mixed martial arts fighter is undefeated in the ring (many of her bouts last mere seconds) and is said to be the most dominant female athlete in her sport ever; she's earned an estimated $5 million from fighting this year alone.
