Way back in 2009, Jon Jones entered a fight with Matt Hamill sporting a 9-0 record and had two UFC wins under his belt. On that night in Vegas, Jones totally dominated Hamill and was cruising to victory. Unfortunately for him, he used some illegal blows - 12-to-6 elbows - in the process. He was disqualified for it.
Ten years and 15 fights later, that remains the only loss on Jones’ record. And according to reports, UFC president Dana White is trying to do something about it. White apparently stated on a recent radio appearance that he’s working with the Nevada State Athletic Commission to get the DQ loss overturned:
Dana White said on @ESPNLosAngeles radio he’s working with the Nevada State Athletic Commission to get Jon Jones’ only loss, DQ (illegal downward elbows) to Matt Hamill overturned.
