Reigning KSW welterweight champion Roberto Soldic was gearing up for a title defense against celebrated Czech fighter Patrik Kincl at this weekend’s KSW 50 in London, but a torn ligament to Kincl’s arm has ruled him out of the championship showdown.
KSW confirmed to MMA Fighting that Kincl has withdrawn from the contest due to the injury and is set to be replaced by promotional newcomer Michal Pietrzak. Instead of a welterweight title defense, the bout will be contested at an 80-kilo (176.5 pounds) catchweight.
Soldic (16-3-0) is considered one of the standout talents outside of the UFC and Bellator.
