Robert Whittaker’s team releases x-ray of hand injury after UFC 225 win

Robert Whittaker didn’t just survive the punishing striking of Yoel Romero to come out of UFC 225 with a win. He also had to survive a hand injury as well. Like his first fight with Romero, Whittaker got injured in the first round of his bout but managed to gut out a win. The first time it was his knee. This time, he apparently broke his thumb.

His team released an x-ray of the injury on social media in the aftermath of the event:

They also released some raw footage of him heading to the hospital in an ambulance to get the x-ray before that:

Whittaker (20-4, 11-2 UFC) edged out a split decision win in a bout where he was badly hurt by Romero multiple times.
