At UFC Fight Night 65 back in May 2015, Robert Whittaker picked up his second win since moving to the middleweight division by stopping veteran Brad Tavares in less then a minute into the fight. The knockout victory improved Whittaker’s record to 14-4 and earned him a $50,000 bonus for Performance of the Night awards.
Now, having picked up four more wins at middleweight, Whittaker is set to fight for the interim middleweight title against Yoel Romero. Both middleweights are scheduled to fight in the co-main event of UFC 213, which is scheduled to go down this Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
