Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight titleholder Robbie Lawler last defended his belt when he defeated Carlos Condit in an epic five-round war at UFC 195 back in January.
As one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster, Lawler's impending return to action is a highly-anticipated event. Not for nothing, but the 34-year-old also claimed Fight of the Year (2015) honors when he finished Rory MacDonald by fifth-round TKO back at UFC 189.
It now appears that an official timetable and opponent have been made for Lawler's next Octagon appearance, per UFC president Dana White in a recent interview while attending Resurrection Fighting Alliance 37 Friday night to film "Lookin' for a Fight.
